Retreat Days

Workshops take place at The Millhouse Barn, 3 miles from Masham in North Yorkshire. Masham is a bustling market town with two breweries, a glass blower, sculpture trail and many interesting galleries and cafes to visit, in the ever-popular Yorkshire Dales. Why not book a B&B and make a weekend of it?

Places are limited to 8 per workshop so please book early to avoid disappointment. All places MUST be pre-booked and cost just £30 per person per day. This includes ALL craft materials and hot drinks throughout the day. Just bring yourself, a packed lunch and plenty of enthusiasm!

The Millhouse Barn is set in an acre of beautifully landscaped grounds which include a natural waterfall, cave and stream. Workshops run from 10am until roughly 3pm, during which you are welcome to explore the grounds - please remember sturdy shoes or wellies if you would like to do this... September 11th Origami and Papercraft Learn some simple techniques with Japanese paper which can be used in card making, scrap booking and gift giving.

 

October 9th Kimekomi 1,200 year old technique of tucking in fabric. Make decorative ‘quilted balls’ and baubles.

November 13th Christmas Wrapped Up Stylish furoshiki ‘eco gift wrapping’ and lots of ideas for Christmas.

Bespoke Retreat Days

I will arrange a special, bespoke retreat day for any group of 3 or more people who would like to learn any of the crafts I teach. This will be held at my studio on a date of your choice, and costs £30 per person (this includes materials). Great for a birthday treat or girlie day out!
